Charity Donations as Gifts

December 8, 2012 | Filed under: Direct Mail Copy Writing, Uncategorized

It’s too late to get into the mail as a nonprofit seeking donations. Maybe too late to do anything except use social media to promote online donations to your cause. For next year — all of it, not just the holiday season — you might want to consider promoting the idea of giving the gift of a donation to a special cause.

You can celebrate someone’s birthday, or a holiday, or just to introduce a friend to a cause you care about. Look at Charity Choice as an example. You can use your own organization’s website to suggest this kind of gift-within-a-gift. Or your nonprofit’s mobile giving app. You do have a mobile app, right? If not, see us about how to create one! Happy holiday giving.
