Grant-making Trends in the San Francisco Bay Area

January 16, 2013 | Filed under: Grant Writing, Uncategorized

Despite the tight economy, overall in the last decade, grants from private and community foundations in the Bay Area, experienced healthy growth, according to a 2011 report issued by The Foundation Center.

So what’s been happening in the last year? For that information, we have to ask the foundations themselves to report more timely and fully. This Business Times article suggests that a number of the big Bay Area foundations are willing now to release that information to the Foundation Center on a quarterly basis. So far, I haven’t seen any of those reports for the last quarter of 2012. But it’s early in January. Perhaps by month end, we’ll know more.
