About
Rachel Dacus
Grant Writer, Fundraising Consultant & Copy-Writer
Serving the San Francisco Bay Area, the East Bay, and Northern California
For more than 30 years I’ve worked as a grant writer, fundraising and communications consultant, and direct mail copy-writer. My nonprofit clients include hospitals, universities, colleges, disabilities organizations, youth groups, and a wide variety of other causes. Using my grounding in basics learned at the esteemed The Fund Raising School (now part of the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University), I’ve raised tens of millions of dollars for my clients.
I’ve written and edited grant proposals, letters of interest, web content, social media pages and blogs, annual reports, case statements, brochures, strategic plans, press releases, and event programs.
I’ve raised funds for capital campaigns, research, special projects, capacity-building projects, and to establish new organizations. My experience also includes grants, direct mail, volunteer training, major gift development, and donor database.
